NSS come into existance in 24 Sept. 1969 when country was celebrating first birth centenery, Father of Nation Shri M.K. Gandhi. NSS an organization working under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports Govt. of India New Delhi. The NSS involved ourall personality development through social work of the students. The main thrust areas of NSS are Awareness programmes i.e. Skill development, Plantation, Women Impowerment, Digital India, Clean India Green India and Blood Donation etc.

RBS College, Agra, NSS consists 5 units at two different campus and running successfully comprising 500 U.G. class students under the Leadership of Principal, Dr. Anupam Goel and Co-ordinator (N.S.S.) Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Dr. Ramvir Singh Chauhan. The units are running under different programme officers as following:-

The units worked for Plantation , Blood Donation , Traffic Awareness, Swachachh Bharat Abhiyan , Beti Bacho & Beti Padhao Abhiyan Programme , Health /Eyes/Immunization Camps ,AIDS Awareness Programme ,Yoga Programme International Yoga , and Voter Awareness Programme . The students of all five units are participating in international, national, state, district level programme like as Republic Day Prade Camp, National Integration camp, Mega camp and Adventure camp being organized by Ministry of Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India during last five years.

    iconDr. Ramvir Singh Chauhan, University Co-ordinator (N.S.S.) and Dr. Pratima Gupta have been honoured by Prashashti Patra and momento on 25 January 2014 by U.P. Governer Shri B.L. Joshi for excellent work of University in SVEEP activities in Voter awareness.
    iconDr. Pratima Gupta, Department of Economics was awarded a special prize by the Hon’ble Gopvernor of U.P. Mr. Ram Naik on 25th January, 2015 for her immense contribution in Voter Awareness Programme as a SVEEP Co-ordinator.
    iconVaishali Nigam (N.S.S. Volunteer)has also been awarded for her excellent work towords SVEEP programmes related to voter awareness programme on the occasion of National Voter Day (25-01-2016) by Dy. Chief Election at Lucknow.

    iconGirl volunteer Vaishali Nigam received State Level award & certificate by Chief Election Officer of U.P. at Lucknow for remarkable contribution in SVEEP & National Voters’ Awareness Program as College Ambassador.



iconNational Cadet Corps of Infantry Senior Division was re-started in this institution from 5th May ,1986; since then the performance of this sub-unit 6/2 corp is flourishing all round up to National and State level every year.

icon Apart from the activities performed by the cadets 38 cadets have been selected successfully in the Armed Forces as commissioned officers in Army, Air Force, Navy, Armed Forces Medical college, B.S.F. Coast Guard, C.I.S.F. and other different Para Military Forces. 09 Cadets have been commissioned as officers in NCC itself, and they are serving in different institutions. Thousands of Cadets are selected in Army, Air Force, Navy, Para Military forces, Police etc. as Jawans to serve the nation.

iconAt National level activities the top most activity is the Prime Minister Rally Camp and Republic Day Parade, at New Delhi, Youth Exchange Programme to give the exposure to our cadets in foreign countries, thal sainik camp at New Delhi and Para Jumping Camp at Agra ; Our cadets participate in all these four activities.

iconEvery year our cadets participate in Inter-Group Competition camp at State level. These cadets who participated in the activities last year are - Shubham Kumar, Vishnu Kumar, Arun Kumar, Manish Chaudhary, Arjun Singh, Gaurav Chauhan, Abhishek Chaudhary, Ashique Khan and many more.

iconIn other state Level Organized Camps, like – National Integration Camp, Trekking Camp. Army Attachment Camp, Attachment to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Mountaincering Camp, Manali. Rock Climbing Camp, at Gwalior. Naval Cruise at Kerala etc. Our Cadets participated in all the activities.

iconEvery year in N.C.C. Examinations the of ‘C’ certificate result is always very high in the Agra group. Last year the percentage group was only 20%, but cadets of our institution passed this examination. In ‘B’ certificate Examination the pass percentage was 85%.

iconThe N.C.C. Officer Maj (Dr.) Yadhuvir Singh Chauhan was awarded at National level by Director General Commendation Award in 1996 at New Delhi.

iconOur Cadets SUU Vijay Vir Singh was Commissiond in B.S.F. as Asstt. Commandant he sacrificed his life on duty in Bihar.

iconMany of our Cadets now hold very senior posts in Defence Forces. They visit to the college, encourage and guide the present cadets in after working their career planning.

iconOur ex cadet Mr. Prashant Srivastava, who has settled in USA, in a multinational company, has established the “N.C.C. Cadets Library” and Ex Cadets Association.

iconOur ex cadet Sandesh Shandilya is a well established Music Director in Mumbai has been very helpful in the upliftment of the cadets and is actively united in guiding and motivating the cadets.
iconMany other cadets who have settled abroad – like Cdt. Vibhav Shukla, in Dubai are very active in promoting the ex NCC Cadets association for the welfare of existing Cadets.

Rovers and rangers

iconRovers/Rangers crew was established in 1994 in our college. Our college team got first prize in state level meet held at Allahabad. Our college team also won first prize at university level meet organized in our college in 1996 leaded by Dr. Jawahar Singh Dhakre. Later on our college team won various prizes at state as well as national level meets regularly.

iconBasic leader course programme was also organized by R.B.S. College in 1997 in which 25 lecturers from various universities got training. Later on university level meets were successfully organized by our college from 2003 to 2008.Our college got aid of Rs 20,000 from education director and Rs, 40,000 from Dr .B.R. Ambedkar University.

iconCurrently four groups of rovers/rangers are registered in our colleges which are being trained time to time.

iconUttar Pradesh state level inter university meet was organized in government woman PG college,Gazipur from 1st March 2016 to 3rd March 2016. 8 Rovers and 6 Rangers from our college had participated in this meet and won various prizes in different activities. These students were nominated for governor as well as president medal.
icon336th Bharat Scout and Guide National Bravery Programme was held on 16 December 2015 to 22 December at Panchmadi, Madhya Pradesh. 4 Rovers and 2 Rangers had participated in this program. Total 395 Scouts, Rovers and Rangers had participated in this meet.

icon18th Bharat Scout and Guide international Bravery Programme was held on 2Febuary 2016 to 8 February 2016 at Pachmadi,Madhya Pradesh. Sushil Kumar and Mayank Verma these two rovers of R.B.S. College had participated in this. Students from 22 states and Bangaldesh were taken part in this meet.

iconB. S. A. College Mathura organized Dr.B.R. Ambedkar University Inter college rovers/rangers level meet from 21 February 2016 to 23 February 2016.6 rovers team and 5 rangers teams from different college had taken part in this meet.24 rovers and 19 rangers from our college took part in this meet and got overall third prize.

iconState level rovers/rangers meet 2017 has been organized by Agra college from 22 February 2017 to 24 February 2017.Rovers team Sushil Kumar, Prem Shankar, Anoop Kumar,Boby, Ramesh Pratap Singh,Nirmal Kumar, Ravi Kumar and Rupendra are taking part in this meet. Rangers team is comprised from Ravita Kumari, Lavi Goyal,Tamishtha Thakur,Pragati Chauhan,Vertika Singh.R.B.S, College team is being leaded By Dr.Basant Bahadur Singh,shri Vijay Singh Ranga and Sarita Kumari. Our team performed well in this meet.

iconThis meet was organized by St.John College on 28 January 2017 and 29 January 2017.23 college teams took part in this meet.our college rovers team got overall second and our college rangers team won overall third prize.
Honors: Dr Basant Bahadur Singh, R.B.S.College Agra was awarded with best rover’s leader in this programme.
